Make the choice to serve in a cause larger than your wants, larger than yourself - and in your days you will add not just to the wealth of our country, but to its character.

Serve a cause larger than yourself? Well, the anti-Bush movement is larger than myself .

Wow, it seems like we have a Zombie-Wilson on our hands, the first half of the speech came across as ridiculously Wilsonian. And we all know how well Wilson's foreign policy initiatives turned out

But definately a well-written speech (well the first half at least), better than I could have done.

For God's sake! That just now penetrated your conciousness! Teh Imran has been promoting that for quite sometime in less disparaging terms than you used.

Nor will I oppress anyone for having such a belief. I'll just think you're a fool for believing it. On the other hand, it is you oh so opressed people that are trying to deny women and homosexuals their full rights. Your intolerance is far more harmful than mine.

Yeah, well you do have to take into account that a majority of Americans don't want gay marriage to be legal in our country. You also have to take into account that America is deeply divided on the abortion issue.

"And there will be strange events in the skies--signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up. Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!" --Luke 21:25-28
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. --1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Legalization of gay marriage nationwide would spell the beginning of the end of our great Republic.
