For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

So go ahead and just spit it out this time instead of playing games.

                          • How could hiring workers to build public works, parks, roads, levees, and fire breaks be unconstitutional?
Easy if this construction wasn't on federal lands. The Constitution allows the feds to build what it needs to maintain a navy, a postal system, and military infrastructure, etc., not make work programs just to employ people.

                            • I've been watching the history channel programs on the presidents. They gloss over them too quickly for my taste.

but it gave me an opportunity to learn more about 19th century presidents. I've forgotten a lot of stuff from my history classes.

Although I have missed a few of the programs. but going from the tv programs, I'd have to nominate Taft. He was pretty horrible it looks like. Though Grant was pretty bad as well.

ahh, but he publically admitted to it. Unlike Clinton (he didn't have a child, but he didn't admit his sins)
