  • Um.. no I wasn't. We were talking about why Vick went 3-1 in 2003 while without him they went 2-10. I responded to your statement:

Once he came back, he completed less than half his passes, was sacked more than any other Falcon QB (on average), and turned the ball over more than he scored. The difference? His defense made plays and they pulled out the close wins.

    Wanna try again?
    That goes for 2004 too

It will hurt their offense just as badly. Perhaps make the game a turnover battle. And as badly as people rcriticize the Colts D, they kick ass in the turnover battle.

Honestly, I don't know where anyone gets the idea that making the field wet to stop the Colts O is a good idea.

        • My predictions for the weekend.

          NFC:

St Louis 27 Atlanta 24 OT
          Philadelphia 31 Minnesota 17

          AFC:
          Pittsburgh 20 NYJets 17 OT
          Indianapolis 41 New England 24
(IND will have monster 1st half)

          • I call Indy and Pittsburgh to meet in the AFC championship. I refuse to call the NFC, because anything could happen there.

It will be an intersting game. I don't give much credence to the last two outing the Eagles had as they weren't playing starters. But it was noticeale against Dallas how much they need T.O.

I think without TO they are essentially the same team as last year, in a noticeably weaker conference.

              • Even without TO, they may still be good enough to make it to the SuperBowl. But it sure is going to be tougher for them without him.

                • With TO, they're 3rd best in the NFL, or a strong 4th. Without him, they're a weak 4th at best.

                  • I'm back after my week break.

I think I'm done with predictions. I really thought the Chargers could advance to the second round (and lose there), but I was wrong. And I really thought the Seahawks would win this time.

I really feel like a bonehead for making those predictions.

Agreed, which is why I mentioned the significantly weaker NFC. Regardless whoever takes the NFC, they will have a major uphill battle in the superbowl as Pats, Steelers and Indy to my mind are far superior than anything the NFC has to offer at present (assuming Eagles w/o TO that is)

                      • Atlanta will make the superbowl. And they might even win it. (proving me wrong about their QB's abilities)

Not true. Their defense is much better this year. And they have Westbrook for the playoffs this time around unlike last year.

Do the Steelers? Not that they need it with the Bus having a great year.
