  • I predict:

Packers over Vikes. 35 to 17.

Seahawks over Rams 28 to 24

Colts over Broncos 42 to 24

Chargers over Jets 24 to 17

and here are my 2 picks for the superbowl: Falcons vs. Patriots. And the Patriots will win the superbowl 24 to 14. Yes I am picking the Patriots to beat the Colts in the AFC title game (unless they beat them in a divisional playoff game, in which case I predict they will beat the Steelers in the AFC title game). I believe the Patriots will beat the Steelers this time after losing to them earlier and the year. The colts will come close, but I just don't think they have enough on defense.

    • Congrats to FoG on the team title

Congrats to Ned for the MVP

My Saints waited too long to win but sweeping the division at the end of the season gives me hope the team won't move to LA at least till 08' unless Benson decides to sell to Ellison.

Ming,I was consistent in missing point spreads all season.I hit some good parlays but overall stayed in the red the whole season.Hopefully I can make it up in the poker rooms.Down Year

      Looking forward to March Madness

        • Even though the Patriots are my pick this year for the SB, I am convinced that the Steelers have the best team. Even playing with their second string they beat a hot Buffalo team last week. They have a very solid team, and have already beaten the Patriots in Pittsburgh. They can do it again.

The Steelers would then be heavy favorites against whoever wins the NFC. That whole conference is bad this year. Even Philly showed it had no depth at the end of the season.

            That is my prediction/wish.

It would be odd. My home team vs. my new city's team (colts)

would be tough to be at work with all the colts fans.

I'm a homer, and I don't think that Manning has what it takes to win championships. The rest is all guesswork.

                • Yes, it would help if you had the right teams. And also if you admitted that the Falcons are frauds.

They're gonna beat some crappy NFC teams, and then Imran will make a big deal about how good they are. But they won't make it past a good team.

                    Well, hell.

That's what I get for doing this at 1:30 in the morning... and for cutting and pasting BFG's first post in this thread without checking to see if it was accurate.

*JohnT looks up an actual, real-life playoff schedule*

                    Er, my revised picks are...

                    NFC:

                    St. Louis at Seattle: Seattle
                    Minnesota at Green Bay: GB

                    Seattle at Atlanta: Atlanta

Er... looking at NFL.com, now I'm seeing **** like: "San Diego, N.Y. Jets or Denver at Pittsburgh (15-1)"

How the hell does somebody pick something like that?

                    Forget it.

                    • It's San Diego, NY Jets, or Denver because they are the 4th, 5th and 6th seeds respectively. Pittsburgh gets the luxury of playing the worst-seeded team after bye week. So if Indianapolis and San Diego both win, Pittsburgh gets to play San Diego because the Colts have a higher seed.
