    • And now the 9ers are on the clock .

Man, I wonder what position the Dolphins will try to fill with that #2 pick .

      • 49ers need so much help they would like to trade down for more picks. But, I don't think anyone will make that deal because there is no clear #1 pick this year.

        • Miami would probably like to trade down for extra picks too. There are plenty of top flight RBs coming out this year. I would pick Arrington.

          • I bet Miami keeps their pick. They'll either go for Cedric Benson or Cadillac Williams. I think they make the star RB a priority.

            • The Bears get to pick 4th... and our brilliant GM is talking about "shoring up the defense".... HUH! Would somebody please tell him that we need help at EVERY offensive position!

                • Bucs pick fifth (urgh). We need either a star RB or OL in the worst possible way. I suspect we'll take whichever one between Cadillac and Benson that Miami leaves behind...

                  • I wouldn't be suprized to see some teams underestimate the Rams or Seattle. The're both good teams that haven't played well, but that could very well change.

                    • I have a very low estimation of them now, but I expect the Rams to beat Seattle and then lose to Atlanta.

                      • Currently, Kiper projects Williams, WR/USC (yes, that one) as the #4 pick. A difference-maker at WR would be a pleasant change.

A true stud offensive lineman would be welcome as well, since we seem to go through them like water.

I think Angelo's statement is just his nod in the direction of "not tipping my hand." On defense, we drafted two DTs 1-2 this year, traded for Ogunleye and signed Alex Brown long-term. We have Urlacher and a Pro Bowl alternate at linebacker, and more quality DBs than we can get on the field. And when's the last time a LB was drafted in the top 5?

On offense, we have an all-suspect QB crew, we're losing the A-Train, we have NO WRs, no TE, and used 6 different combos to start on that train wreck of an O-line.

Don't worry, Chicago is going offense.

If the rams win, they'll play the Eagles (unless the Vikings get the upset), since the NFL reseeds so that the #1 seed plays the lowest remaining seed after the 1st round.

                          • Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if either the Browns or Bears trade down a few slots to a team in need of a start RB. Both have more than one major need.

                            • But who in the draft is worth giving up multiple picks for?

                              • Oakland (7th) or Arizona (8th) may want to trade up to steal a RB from under Tampa's nose. Oakland, for one, has been known to make kooky draft day moves.
