AFC: The Jets might pull an upset, but I think both home teams advance to the divisional playoffs, where they promptly get squished by the Patriots and Steelers. The championship game proves a war of attrition, but youth and power is served, and the Steelers go to Jacksonville.

NFC: Again the home teams survive wild-card weekend (despite the Rams giving Seattle a run for its money). Philly survives by the skin of its teeth against Seattle, and then goes down in the NFC championship game for the fourth year in a row. Atlanta can win big games on the road (they dominated Green Bay in Lambeau in January and were *this* close to giving Tampa a chance to HOST the NFC championship game two years ago) and Philly's offense is severely crippled without T.O.

Doesn't matter who comes out of the NFC, though - the AFC is winning the big game this year regardless of which division winner comes out with the crown. In this case, Roethlisberger makes history and Pittsburgh beats Atlanta in a showdown of the new generation of QBs.

If Owens can come back to full strength by the Super Bowl (pushing it, I know), the Battle of Pennsylvannia may be an amazing game and I'd say that would go either way.

I highly doubt, that Owens will be back in any way for the Super Bowl. And Philly will dominate Seattle if that match happens, they are a much better team even with out Owens.

Eagles aren't that good without T.O.

I can't believe what Holmgren did, his starting RB - Shaun Alexander - needed 1 ******* yard to tie for the league lead in rushing yards and he has his QB run a sneak from the 1 yd line with ~4 minutes to go and his RB never got another chance to run the ball.

                Anyway, my play off picks

                SD over NYJ 24-21
                Indy over Denver 38-28

                GB over Minn 34-21
                StL over Seattle 31-17

SD and NYJ I predict will be low scoring. I'll say 13 to 10 SD win.

hmm. I predicted Eli will get his first victory tonight. I really thought they'd crush the cowboys actually. I'm surprised it's this close.

Well Parcells is a great coach. His talent may suck, but he's not going to go down that easily.

Minnesota has lost four out of five games, I'd guess you would call that backwards momentum.

And they've lost 18 out of their last 20 outdoor games.

And to add well, more injury to injury, the Vikings SS Chavous has a broken elbow from today's game, and won't play in the Packers game. He had seventy-seven tackles this season, and one interception. He seemed to be someone who boosted moral in the locker room. Bye bye Minnesota!
