  • Yep... its what we argue about in baseball threads. What does MOST VALUABLE mean. Does it mean the best player, or the player whose team would suffer the most without. According to the later definition, Vick is definetly a good choice. Look at Atlanta last year and compare to them this year.

    • I can't believe that little scatback-with-an-arm is on the Pro Bowl team over Favre.

That said, every week the door to (losing in) the Super Bowl opens a little wider for Atlanta.

Re Favre yesterday, he's on an inferior team and when they fall behind, it shows (just like it did in his 5-INT playoff loss to the Rams a couple years ago). Amman's a fumbler and the defense is average on its good days. Also, he is actually hurt by his incredible self-confidence. He looked legitimately surprised on both of the "bad route" interceptions yesterday. Imran has a great point re his current crop of receivers. And he was without Javon when he really needed him yesterday.

I think would be a shame if he retired. But -- just like withn Barry Sanders -- as a Bears fan, I must admit I'm all for it.

They'd be fine with Warrick Dunn or Dez White at QB if that's what you mean.

You mean like Carolina overlooked teams because of a lack of big game experience last year?

Care to continue talking out of your ass, Mr. one is plenty .
I guess you are trying to say that plenty of teams with virtually no playoff experience win playoff games.

How can a QB be considered great if he plays horrible when he doesn't have great recievers to throw to. I'm not saying he isn't good, but he does depend on his recievers too much. He throws to recievers who are covered. The throws aren't even super accurate. He depends on the recievers to make good adjustments to make the catch.

Playoff experience isn't the be all and end all, especially since the advent of free agency. There have been a number of teams with little to no playoff experience who run the table. Frankly, I don't think playoff experience matters all that much anymore.

Look at Farve's stats and tell me if he played 'horrible' this year? He had a horrible playoff game. It happens. And every QB, no matter how talented, requires talent around him to put up great passing stats.

For example, the reason Atlanta is successful is because Vick can run. The recievers and O-Line around Vick are horrible (with the exception of Crumpler).

Yeah, I think he did . Without him, the Falcons don't sniff the playoffs. Without him, the Falcons are Bears.

Umm the Ravens? Green Bay? Pittsburgh's first, 49's first, Dallas' first and third, St Louis.

                              Hmmm, must be only 1.
