  • China... more carbon dioxide than the current combined total of the United States, Japan and Canada.

Let's see how that plays out, and then see who is 'owned', dude.

Care to place monetary units on it?

It does not work that way. Species need time to adapt, which they don't have, according to general consensus, if you want to see it that way. It's not just a matter of moving, there's also the question of food, breeding ground, and a whole host of factors.

All signs are pointing to a drastic climatic change caused by human activities.

No. The US accounts for 23% and China 13%, a distinct second.

                        • Projected, UR. You have to read the whole thread. I quoted, and it was ignored. Then I cut the quote, and it was ignored. Eventually, I arrived at the bit you quoted.

Ted has been ignoring growth and the future, so I thought it was kosher to do likewise.

                          • I'm still waiting for him to show where CA is heavy on heavy industry, or even how it amounts to much at all. All I've got so far is that he can see a refinery from his bedroom window, and that chemicals are big. Well, they are 6th in US states in chemical manufacture.

We're still waiting for Ted to explain this, or in fact, to have any facts at all other than the bedroom window view.

                            • In 2025? You think China is not going to improve energy and fuel efficiency and tighten standards like Japan, California, and Europe?

                              • Oh, I think you will. However, you will continue to grow industrially in leaps and bounds, and your government will be under no external constraints to stop it, unlike signatories of Kyoto.

And then if China doies not want the jobs, I am sure Vietnam or Indonesia will.
