Good question. I'm guessing here, but I'd guess that because the resistence is largley Sunni, they wouldn't be welcoming the Iranians with open arms, and Farsi speakers would stand out where intel is concerned, Presumably, Iran wouldn't let them carry out any acts against us, since they wouldn't want to give the U.S. an excuse to start bombing their country (including their nuke facilities).

Let's see . . . number of racists lynching Black people versus number of people beheaded by Muslim extremists . . .

If they did it just sto stop America building more nukes, that would still be totally reasonable.

The article is talking about suicide bombers, not beheading in muslim nations. And if the Ku Klux Klan had their way, all black people and Jews in every nation could consider themselves a targetm, just as all non muslims can consider ourselves a target of Islamic extremists.

Also closing down a major avenue for oil-traffic, the Persian Gulf. Iranian missiles and artillary could devastate stock markets. In fact they'd be cleverer just to posture you to death in Iraq, and not declare war at all.

Only until we cleared out the missiles. It's not like they shut down shipping during the undeclared war we had with them during the 80s. Anyway, high oil prices hurt our competitors more than they hurt us.
