MB20 is crappy pop music which appeals to those who love boy bands but don't want to admit it. No wonder you like it .

What are you, like a 14 year old girl?

Does anyone else on this site think that MB20 is even mediocre?

As for Green Day, perhaps you are discussing the wrong person who needs to get with the times. They just released an album being called the first punk rock opera and are everywhere after the critical and commerical success of the album.

I've learned long ago to ignore the musical opinions of strategy game addicts. A huge portion of them listen to Final Fantasy music, a huge portion listen to country, and the rest listen to metal.

One of the best rock experiences I ever had was U2 live at Western Springs with BB King in 1989. It was a few days after the Berlin Wall fell and Bono was ecstatic.

Nothing beats hearing U2 play "One Tree Hill" under One Tree Hill. That's still my favourite U2 song.

U2 were great for me because at the time (the late 80s) there were really no great rock bands pumping out great stuff. Apart from my alt/punk thing I had to resort to the Who, Floyd and Led Zep for my fix. U2 were the best live act going at the time.

How the **** can anyone like Matchbox 20?

I know that, and they've been hyping them to all hell on the local station. Radio sessions, live to air concerts, etc.

They're just as simplistic and punk-pop as before. Come on boys, learn some new chords.

Their new single, American Idiot, fell off the charts here ridiculously fast. They're already on Single #2.

That's what you get with simple songs.

Dude... you like Matchbox 20! Who are you to talk about relevant musical opinions?

The torture of Final Fantasy music would be worth it if my choices were between that and MB20.

Jesus... Matchbox 20 is about a step above Kelly Clarkson.

R.E.M. was great as well, though whether they were rock or alternative is the big question, eh?

For once, I agree with Asher. U2 sucks and will continue to suck I am sure.

                      ...however...

No ****. That band sucks every bit as much as U2 if not more.

As I said, you would not understand.

If it's not about a pickup truck, if it's not a song that a 12 year old on his 3rd guitar lesson can play, and if it's not a heartless pop song, it's way beyond you.

There is nothing to understand outside the fact that Matchbox 20 sucks huge donkey balls. Though I guess I don't understand the fascination some people have with pop bands which are one step removed from 'New Kids on the Block'.

Another cool thing about the late 80s was the guitar **** thing with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. I still have those albums.

Except it is. Take their song Push for example.

G,C, E minor, D. Repeat over and over.

A retarded dwarf could play that song on a guitar. So much for that argument.
