"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed. But they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love. They had 500 years of democracy and peace. And what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

The doonesbury cartoon, using the term "brown sugar" (which means a negro prostitute) is racist.
AFAIK brown sugar just means a good-looking black woman.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

I would think that Liberals should applaud the fact that an African-American woman acheived a great education and has risen to the top to become Secretary of State. Instead, we get cartoons from prominent left cartoonists depicting her as ignorant, a puppet of Bush, and good for nothing but staying home and having babies.Duck

This is probably the most offensive cartoon of this thread.
I'm offended by a lot of crap I see thrown about the people who re-elected Bush, and I'm tired of it.
I guess that's why I don't post that much anymore. No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I disagree with the politics of the pro-Bush, and there is probably some truth that Bush is vastly overrepresented among the conservative and self-catering rural people.
But these people are far from being the only ones who voted for Bush. And the extreme negative stereotypes we see about them is really wrong IMHO. These stereotypes attack probably the weakest of Bush's voters (which is wrong in itself), and they also insult about one half of Americans who voted for Bush."I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident

Just as you tired of the Monica/Clinton jokes, right?A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
