      Bingo. Give PLATO his prize.

What really makes me vomit are the crocodile tears and sypathies for this vile 'old man'. Can we expect the same outpouring of sadness when OBL finally gets his? He is an old man after all. Geez, get off yer freaking high horses.

          • Not true...yet.

Rumor has gelled a bit more.

Recall that one source of Arafat's power is that he controls the money -- literally. His subordinates were always paid directly by him, in cash, and they would pay their own underlings the same way. Lots of cash, all directly from Arafat. He would pay them one month at a time, with only enough cash for that month.

Arafat got this money from a set of bank accounts only he controled; only he knew the account numbers and the passwords. The estimated value of these accounts are 3.2 billion dollars.

            ...

Daddy Warbucks is dead, and nobody can find his bankbook.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

                • they're not gonna declare him dead until they figure out where to bury him - even though he is clinically dead and cannot survivce off of life support and has no brain activity, they will keep him like thatuntil they figure out where the bury him.

muslim, like judaism, requires burial within 24 hours of death, and arafat wants to be put in jerusalem, which is prolly a no go, so they will first negociate a place to bury him, and then pronounce him dead officially.

                  • When he dies, could a mod put "No, wait -- he's dead." after "But not true" in the title?

Abu Mazen is more moderate when it comes to means of struggle. He does not believe in terrorism.

Jailed prominent Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti is very moderate when it comes to final agreement demands.

Mohamad Dahlan, Gaza Fatah leader is rather moderate in both demands and means of struggle, though he is known to have supported and financed terrorist attacks at several points.

                      • Arafat contols/controlled only Al Aqsa, but had absolutely no control over the other Orgaizations like Hamas, which were the really active Organizations behind most of the Bombings.

Yes but Arafat controlled the palestinian police and military forces, and he ordered them to set Hamas and PIJ terrorists free.

He named streets after Hamas terrorists.

He looked the other way when Hamas and PIJ brought posters supporting martyrdom and Jihad to schools and kindergartens.

He allowed palestinian TV to broadcast ceremons of the most rabid anti-Israeli Imams, related to Hamas.

                        The list goes on.

They did. Palestinian TV showed a sermon by some top religious dude from Gaza saying he "has no doubt that the monkeys and pigs are responsible for the assasination attempt on Arafat" (paraphrased).

(The Jews being monekys and pigs of course)
