Not true. There are dictators and oppression all over the planet. We can't go around fixing everything. But we have an obligation to act when we are attacked, directly or indirectly. Kuwait was one such attack.Originally posted by GePap

Obviously when waging a war over a large oil field oil will be an issue no matter how you initially got there.
Oil was one of many motivations, and not one of the larger ones.
