I often got compliments on a ring I used to wear and I usually get compliments from both men and women on a big chain that I wear.

Unfortunatley I gave the ring to some chick.

I think the problem is that most jewelry for guys has been ugly and gaudy in the past. Those big gold nugget rings are ugly and look terrible, especially if you have a big hairy knuckle, it just looks tacky.

Alot of the newer stuff made from pewter or steel or unpolished silver looks understated and masculine.

I don't wear any jewelry, not even my wedding ring, and never will.

I am cultivating the Jimmy Saville look

Seriously, not a thing, I find it a rather 'pikey' thing to do...and it just isn't my style.

I love that post Apocalypse made. All those men in white shirts and snugly-fitting white trousers, with those special kitsch rings to show they're all boys together in a special way....

I find it fascinating how terrified most straight boys are of looking gay. Must be so depressing walking about thinking "is this too gay?"

I like jewelry on men. Accessories are everything honey. I've got three earrings in my left ear, my right eyebrow pierced, normally wear one or two bracelets (the metal chain bracelet being my favourite) and will wear one of two necklaces (either a thing leather strip with a metal insert or a two row Native American style chocker made from bone).

Rings, alas, do not like me.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

I wear a simple silver chain around my neck as well as a rather more expensive wrist watch than I need with some gold detail. If that makes me look gay, well, that's not my problem.

I suppse if I got engaged I'd wear my engagement ring (men don't get wedding rings were I'm from), but I can't see myself wearing rings otherwise. And anything requiring piercing is right out as far as I'm concerned.

I only wear a silver chain with a silver ankh, and I'd probably consider wearing a silver or pewter ring or two (including a wedding band when I reach that part of my life) and maybe a watch.

Though I wouldn't wear piercings, bracelets or anklets, since in my opinion those look better on women (so long as the piercings aren't in any obscure places like the tongue). Not that I have anything against men who wear that stuff as it's their choice (hell, some of my friends wear things like that), I just think it looks better on women.

And I don't really fear that the kind of jewelry I wear looks gay.

I used to wear a ring or two and a necklace with a little silver cross in primary school. Since then I've hardly worn any jewelry other than my watch. I also have a ring now, but I rarely wear it.

Jewelry can look good, on both men and women, but I don't find it particularly exciting either. It's also very easy to overdo it...

                            Currently wearing-

Ears- just a single silver hoop today.
Fingers- just my white gold wedding ring. I'm not a big ring-wearer.
Left wrist- a torc in stainless steel.
Neck- a bronze Venus of Willendorf on a silver chain.

I used to have a septum piercing that I wore a gold ring through, but it's long gone.

Jewelry on men doesn't really bug me anymore than jewelry on women. F'rinstance, the guy in the cubicle across from me has a stud in his ear, and I think it looks good on him, and his girlfriend evidently doesn't think that it makes him look gay (or maybe she does, and is trying to convert him to heterosexuality, but either way, he wins), so, what's the problem?

At the same time, things like tongue piercings, nipple piercings, or those huge friggin piercings that you can run a chain through make me cringe, regardless of whether it's a man, woman, or androgynous it-thing wearing said piercings. It's just the gag-factor involved that gets to me. Sort of like the difference between somebody getting a tattoo on their upper-arm and somebody getting a tattoo on their taint.
