    Im with you EF

Spoiling your ballot is a political act, giving you full right to complain about the government (and all parties)

Not voting leaves you with no right to criticise the government

I'd buy you a couple of pints to walk through the centre of the Isle of Dogs at night. You'd be safer in Moss Side or Bransholme.
Enough to hold a strong enough sway though on the votes. Although saying that I have never understood why the ward that returns Tory councillors in Hull does so...there is nothing particularly special about it...

But what use is it. So you, personally, feel you've complained. Nothing else happens. Spoiling your ballot makes absolutely no difference whatsoever.

Well Iain, I'm not Erith and Thamesmead as first thought, I am under Bexleyheath and Crayford...

Idiots who are trying to make a statement, why they just don't vote is beyond me

Well because none of the political parties available are in line with their own political views. To vote for the 'nearest thing' when that nearest thing may be a long, long way off would still be wrong...

Provost: That's why he said why they just don't vote is beyond him. I agree, what's the point in spoiling your ballot. Is there any good reason at all? It's not a statement unless someone actually notices it.

Sorry, I misread, I thought he said don't just as opposed to [/i]just don't[/i]...it's amazing how much the transposition of two words can make

I think it is that they don't want it to be misconstrued for apathy, even if just in their own mind...
