That's an easy one... Dark Cloud. He makes the rules and changes them as needed based on input from others.

      • Yea, but I don't see where he ever made that rule change.

            • Would it be possible to 'Top' this thread while it is active?? Just might get it more attention and would make it easier to check on its progress.

              • I posted the rules change. I just didn't explain it very thoroughly.

The change mentioning is on the first page of this thread.

However, after much discussion with several posters who were adversely affected by the decision, which was designed to equalize votes and not adversely affect anyone in particular but to even the playing field and to deal with the unfortunate problem of: Until the last 3/4 elections, it was only held in the OT, therefore a disproportionate number of OTers held unassailable positions. Therefore, to appease other portions of the site, I made my decision.

However, after much discussion, I have decided to alter the voting and add in votes from the last TWO elections instead of just the LAST election. Therefore, it will be some time before I update, but when I do, the basic point of the reallocation will be the same. This should have been done when I widened the appeal of the section, however, it was not. hterefore I am correcting an earlier error.

                  And I just enjoy controversy

I mean, frankly, I thnk there hasn't been an election yet when I haven't pissed someone off.

Though the complaintants this time were amazingly polite- therefore, I actually considered their disputes and am addressing them in as timely a manner as I am able.

Oh no, you misunderstand. That was a one-time reset.

That would be nice, but for some reason I don't think it's ever been authorized that way

though during the first edition ming did nicely shepherd it- closing it when I asked nicely and maintaining order!

you see, neither mark or dan has ever endorsed the hall officially- I think Mark's first post ever in the hall was the one he made this election!

                      • So the rule as it stands now, is any votes from three elections ago are erased for each person, correct?

                            Again, thanks Che.
Apparently the concept of lighthearted ribbing hasn't made it to the Nedaverse yet.
