Possibly because, in my rather extensive experience, those who enjoy hip-hop and rap tend to be the most stupid.

In my even more extensive experience, I found that everyone likes hip-hop and rap. Only homosexuals seem to be anti-rap, due to the anti-homosexual stance taken by the majority of the artists in the genre.
