No offense taken since Finland doesn't even rank in my top 10

THat would include the US, Australia, Britain and a few former British colonies where English is spoken ( assume I need to work) and only then would I head to mainland Europe.

      • california is a different culture than youd be used to - california is cars, highways, surfing, the beach, nice weather, and a relaxed chilled out atmosphere. canada would prolly be less of a culture shock. you still got your two seasons and its more like finland.

Get over yourself. I was trying to be nice, asshat. My point was Montreal used to have mostly hot women, now they have mostly pigs (Edit: <--- exaggeration, but still true).

Well, to be frank, I haven't been there in years. But have you seen their newscasters? They don't look good. And that's an understatement. And they don't want to look better: putting to much effort in your looks is deemed vain and frivolous. That must be a puritan thing...
No, I've never seen their newscasts, but I don't doubt you. I just remember seeing some cute girls in Burlington... though probably because its a small city with a big university, and all universities have at least some hot girls. Which reminds me...

Pekka: Try checking out Burlington, VT. Thats a cool town, although maybe too liberal for you.

                  • too liberal for me? cracker you don't know me! too liberal.. pffft.. I like liberal. I like conservative. I like right wing. I like left wing. Jeesdh, your left wing would be our super far right tredje riken type of crap. Only thing I DON'T like is the Green Party. It just about sucks everywhere in the world. Oh.. and the commie party as well. And socialist democratic party, at least in here it sucks, I don't know, maybe you have more balanced and realistic SDP, but ours is like pumping a plastic doll with an extra hole in it, while it feels good, it just lacks the life in it and gets old before your eyes.

I don't care what the politics is in the city/town. I don't care about politics. It's all lies and BS anyway. If Liberal means number two goes and most girl have brown eyes, I luuuuuvs the liberal.

Not only are there many places like this in Calgary, there are tons in Markham.

There are 2 stripmalls near my house and both of them have only Chinese writing on the store signs.

And I don't even live in a "China Town".

                            • Minneapolis -- big urban area (over 1 MM ppl), NHL hockey, great outdoor sports activities, great uni (U of Minnesota), much Scandinavian heritage, very Finnish climate.

Madison -- smaller city (state capital, still pretty big), incredibly beautiful campus (U of wisconsin), still mad for hockey (collegiate, no NHL team), same climate.

Chicago -- awesome university scene (U Chicago, Northwestern, others), MAJOR urban area and all that implies. We have all major sports here (although I would hesitate to call the Blackhawks a true NHL hockey team...), plus it has the HUGE advantage of being home to Ming, Rah, and myself.
On second thought, never mind, Pekka. We don't have room for another huge, dynamic personality like you in our town. check out Minneapolis and madison, though. I really think they'd feel like home to you.
