I have used vinigar on occasion. Remember mayo from Pulp Fiction, but never tried it.

That is a good point, I can't think of any major publishing house that can't be considered profitting from military means. Uless teaching people how to kill isn't as bad as making weapons either.

BTW, choosing one branded product over another does not a boycott make.

          They're just selling ketchup.

The links of Dassault (holding company with a defence arm) and Lagardère (major shareholder in EADS) with the defence industry are more direct than that.

                      I'm a conscious consumer:

I support my political belief in capitalism by boycotting companies that don't give me the best product at the best value for money.

                      Works wonders.

Not hard to be a capitalist ideologue consumer.

Why boycott Heinz? AFAIK they don't make anything really objectionable, like weapons, and you will be harming lots of ordinary people who don't have any political axe to grind, but just turn up to work to try and make something that people will enjoy.

I don't boycott American goods on principle. Why should some honest Nebraskan farmer who's never done anything to anyone pay for Shrub's perfidy?

Odds are quite good that that Nebraskan farmer voted for Bush.

Yeah, becasue there was no military spending before Bush...

You know the Iraq war has had very little effect on weapons procurement, except maybe to stall some things. The extra costs are mostly operational.
