  • A Game for the Amateur Military Historian.

    OK - I'm bored.

How about a game? The rules are simple. One person posts an image of a reasonably famous military event, person (i.e. General) or thing (i.e Ship). Other bored parties then try to guess what it is. The first to post the correct answer posts the next pic.

NB: It doesn't have to be a photograph, it could be a painting. It just has to be recognizable. If everyone else is too dense, clues may be posted.

So here's one I would get straightaway. Shouldn't be too hard.

wow... a very bad quality, grainy picture of smoke on a surface that could be anything from water to land...

Speer, is there something wrong with your eyes. Drake could see what it was, even if he didn't get the right ship.

          Where's MtG when he's needed?

No. Clue: it's not a German ship.

Well... that should be obvious, German ships didn't have a habit of blowing up.

Oh, I thought that Drake's 'hood looks like that - after a rough night with the homies frontin' real style then my 'hood can get a bit like that too.

                * duke has no idea what the above means, and needs a nice lie down now.
