  • I can imagine a girl lying about it in order to have sex with a guy.

    • Heck, if you want sex, just TAKE THE PILL. Geez, it's not difficult, it's cheap (and it's even free in civilized countries), it's very, very efficient.

And unless you have uber-religious parents, nobody will criticize you for being cautious while satisfying your natural and healthy needs

Granted, I have sexual experience only with one person, but my gf and I always took extra care not to catch rbabies.

Condoms at first, before she could get a prescription for the pill, contraceptive pill, morning-after pills the two times we felt it was unsure, and a willingness to go abort if all else fails.

None of my friends had a problem with their partners lying to them about contraception, except those who dated the unstable girl I mentioned earlier.
she sounds like a great girl. Don't lose her

It seems your society as a whole has a big problem with sex-ed. It's not only a school thing, it's also a general tolerance in the society, that makes it possible to speak about sex openly, and to correct one's misconceptions with day-to-day discussions.

that's not why they do it. Some still believe they can entrap a man if they become pregnant with his baby. Though now days this does not work that well. Because men just dump the ***** anyways and leave her to raise the child by herself. But the chick can always get an abortion if that happens (if she isn't against that sort of thing). Back in the day, this was the way to get a man to marry you.

                      Spiffor,

                      You are correct.

It just blows my mind the things that people still believe.

The problem is not sex ed. Trust me on this. Sex ed is possibly the most inane course in the entire school, and they start teaching the same frigging course every year at something like fifth grade. It's just lots of idiots.

                        • I'll never figure out when the schools will really start teaching about sex.

This is a public health issue. Normally, in public health issues, the safety and health of the entire population outweighs the silly beliefs of an individual family (like forcing kids to be immunized to go to public school).

I'll be the first to say it. But my sex ed in school was a joke. They mentioned the term wet dream, but they never explained what it was. I had no idea what a wet dream was for a long time. They never went into detailed about the various sexual diseases and how you contract them. They just mentioned them by name and said they were bad. I could go on and on.

It doesn't help that in my state sex ed was taught in health class which was often taught by coaches of the various sports teams. They weren't the best teachers in school.

As I've said, they already have.

There's just a ****load of dumbasses.

                              • Please detail, Kuci.

I had very little sex-ed at school (an optional sensitivity program that lasted two days, which nobody attended, and three monthes in biology classes)

I wonder how it looks like in the US. At least in your part of the US
