Guy, you of course know that he shot a M79 and was wounded by the scrapnel? That is what she was trying to tell Matthews the Mad. Matthews claimed, falsely, that Michelle's claim was the Kerry "intentionally" wounded himself.

Matthews is guilty as charged for erecting a strawman and knocking it down, claiming victory over Michelle by never letting her answer any of his badgering questions.

Also, and this is important, Kerry falsely claimed to be the officer in charge of the whaler that night, and never even mentioned in his book that he was the rookie and that now Admiral S (can't remember the rest of his name) was the officer in charge.

Matthews was wrong, way out of line and an embarrassment to the Kerry cause.

No, she said that the SwiftVets book makes that assertion, which it most definitely does. And she never said that the Swifties claim that the wounds were intentionally self-inflicted (even under intense pressure by Matthews to say so), because the book doesn't claim such a thing.

Matthews behavior was disgraceful, and this is coming from a former viewer.

Perhaps we never got that far in any program, but all I ever heard her say is that the coverage of the Japanese internment is biased, in part, because the media never let or lets you know that all citizens of Axis countries were interned side by side with the Japanese. This selectivity obviously implies that the Japanese were singled out and suffered more than anyone else.

(I think the problem with the Japanese is that even citizens were interned, which was not the case with the Italians and Germans. Is this right?)

Desertion is when a soldier flees the theater of conflict. Michael Moore said that Bush was a deserter. But it was Kerry who faked three Purple Hearts and fled Vietnam, not Bush.

(Actually to be honest, there is a report that Kerry's fellow officers were so sick of him that they informed him of the three Purple Heart rule and asked him to leave.)

Yeah, from what I understand, nobody is completely sure what happened, there was a lot of noise and after it was over Kerry had a scratch which they assumed might have come from an enemy if there was an enemy there but no one saw any enemy, they just assumed there might have been one.

Apparently, they put some Neosporin on his scratch as a precaution from it getting infected and leaving a small scar and gave him a Purple Heart for it.

If you've ever gotten a paper cut then it appears you may have been more seriously wounded than Kerry was in that incident.

Correct. The problem with internetment is that Japense-Americans were interned. But of course, every one knows, Asians aren't real Americans.

Desertion is when a soldier flees the military and doesn't come back willingly. If they come back willingly, then they went AWOL. Bush never went back. Therefore, he deserted.
