Our US buddies would only play handball in full body armor.

MRT you should show a little more interest. I mean, American football and baseball dont make any sense at all for someone who doesnt get to learn the rules and tries to undestand.

Think about it. How long does a game of American football or Baseball last? And how much of that time is pure action? maybe 10 minutes or so. You REALLY have to be in to that sport to enjoy it. Or else you just see a bunch of guys walking around some court, spitting, burping and scratching their butts for 10 minutes, and them... WHAM...cought it... back to base.... 10 seconds. Ok, now back to the spitting and scratching......

      OMFG, Monk, that's pretty scary.

Anyway, our Judo team is pretty disappointing so far, and so are our surfers and boat drivers (whatever this is called)

It seems that the our Olympic committee's decision to send only those that "have a good shot at medals" tactic is proving an idiotic idea, just as I thought. One of our best perferomances was by the Gymnast, and that was a complete surpirce. Same thing with ping pong.

Oh, and a big to the Iranian that wouldn't fight our guy in Judo under 64kg.

Well would you give up your chance of a golden medal for that?
He's got a lot of balls really; Besides Iran doesn't acknowledge Iqrael as a state I guess, and most likely this guy will get a big money reward from the Iranian government. Actually a smart move by the man

PS: yay we have 2 bronze medals already. A bit surprising considering the fact that I thought we were going to be nowhere these olympics

Nothing compared to Anja Andersen. When it comes to being scary, I mean. I wonder what s/he's doing now.

Yeah, money-wise, it's healthy logic. They said he'll get the same money as if he won a medal. Now, lemme see, fighting the Israeli, and even if he won, he'd have to participate in a bunch of other fights, or forfeiting the game, and getting the cash anyhow?

                    decisions decisions.

Pretty hot. Also amazing how skilled they are at volleyball too, it is spectacular some of the saves they make.

As somebody who has watched all 202 countries march on TV during the opening ceremony, a big to Denmark. They have won the gold medal on having the hottest chicks in their Olympic mission.

Of all Olympic sports I totally fell in love with Judo thse days. The way the score can change from one moment to another is amazing. A great technical sport. Great outfit too (the judoki), everybody looks mean in it, specially if they're unshaven. Btw, does anybody know what marks the difference between a wazari and a yuki? And of course the Japanese fans are great.

Swimming is boring indeed, specially in the long runs. It is sometimes more boring than ping-pong.

About the Iraq football team: it looks to me really suspicious that of all sports, they are represented in football (which is popular) and they are doing surprisingly well against countries that are tactically participating in the world cup. Although I haven't watched any of their two games, it makes me suspect that they're doped to the bone and nobody dares say anything. Smells to me like a CIA plot to gin them an Olympic medal, hoping that this will appease the angry mob in Iraq a little bit, since football is the only reaaly popular sport there.

In other unsurprising news, Canadian athletes continue to suck ass.

Could our country treat our amateur athletes worse please? I think they're still allowed to sleep with a roof over their heads during their training.

I guess the CIA doesn't prioritize weightlifting 56kg(?)) . The Iraqi guy didn't do too well.
