My VCR broke down about 3 years ago and I never bothered to replace it, neither do I own a dvd player.

I'll be watching master & commander and the last samurai this week, hee, I'm still pretty much up to date.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I've recently signed up at an online DVD rental place (Because of the month's free trial) and used it to rent all those movies I wanted to see but never wanted to pay for- Daredevil, Tomb Raider 2, Identitiy, Peter Pan- and all of them have sucked so far. A winner is me!

Except for the lost time you spent watching Daredevil, Tomb Raider 2, Identity, and Peter Pan.

Well I'd have probably seen them sooner or later, and I may have ended up seeing them when I don't have so much free time, or at a time when I'm unable to fast-forward through Ben Affleck's sex-scene in Daredevil...

H&K was uninspired. There wasn't a single original joke. It was just a string of stoner film cliches. I love all the talk about it being a "groundbreaking" film for minorities, when in fact the first stoner film was Cheech & Chong Up in Smoke... which stars a Hispanic and a half-Chinese guy.

I don't understand what the H&K deal is...it's really a mediocre film. I can't think of one joke in it that hasn't been done somewhere else.

Wait.... you complain about my taste of movies, yet you paid to see what is obviously a piece of dreck like H&K at the theater?

Get a new catch phrase, would ya?

                1. I disliked it, so obviously it didn't fit my taste.
                2. It is getting overall positive reviews:

Nerdy accountant Harold (John Cho) and his irrepressible friend, Kumar (Kal Penn), get stoned watching television and find themselves utterly bewitched by a commercial for White Castle. Convinced there must be one nearby, the two set out on a late-night odyssey that takes them deep into New Jersey. Somehow, the boys manage to run afoul of rednecks, cops and even a car-stealing Neil Patrick Harris before getting anywhere near their beloved sliders.

(Note that when I went to see it, which was Friday, the overall rating was at 85%)

                So stick it!

                          Try spelling "Loose" correctly.

Maybe because the actual title is "Every Which Way But Loose"

And it's an orangutan, not a monkey!
