            **** that.

Dump Kerry & Edwards. Obama for President now.

I can't remember the last time I was that impressed by a political speech.

            • Sava--I've heard that the Republicans have given up on trying to run someone against him, but I don't know if that's true or not. Do you have any info on that?

A state senator (or Repuke party chair of my county... I can't remember which) named Ken Dillard... or "Kent" Dillard is going to run. There was talk of Mike Ditka but he said no. AFAIK, this Dillard guy is going to run. But he's polling like 32% to Obama's 57%.

                SAVE THE DRAMA FOR OBAMA!!!

I think at this point its pretty much going to be a sacrificial lamb if anyone. Basicly all the good candidates have already declined, and given how effective Obama seems to be at public speaking, I'm not sure the Republicans would have had a chance in any case. Frankly Obama may be the best public speaker in politics today.

                        • I was under the impression that my great aunt (er widow of my great uncle or thereabouts) would be speaking on thursday. Either I was mistaken or she's been bumped or she's too insignificant to mention, ie, just introducing someone else. Those ex-senators are just a dime a dozen there.

(actually I'm glad, she's not a great public speaker and gained office through on her....ahem...deceased husbands coattails)

which is great compared to bush's blunt lying ugly stick speechs

                            • I loved Teresa Kerry's speech.

Ron Reagan (who spoke before Teresa) was also great.
