For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

I think the Southern elites really want a way to take over the North's nukes.

That's certainly one facet of the situation.

Up to about a year ago, I thought that we should keep our troops there, but now I believe that we should bring our boys home.

It appears from the polls that the majority of South Koreans are deluded about the most obvious stuff (the gulags, who their friends are, etc.). Unfortunately, we can't really do anything about that, so it's time to minimize the pain that we will suffer for their delusions by readjusting from alliance to friendship.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

                      what you think doesnt matter.

american policy is served by them remaining there and koreans have more than legitimate reasons to want them out

they know perfectly well you're not their friends and the suffering you have caused them.

When I visited SK in 1989 I was told that I could get a leather jacket for $15. I couldn't find anyone to sell one to me for less than $75. Then I had a taxi cab driver go in there and buy one for $20, and I gave him $5. I got a bad taste in my mouth about that place.
