to illustrate why I believe the U.S. will not intervene, I just point to U.S. business interests in China.

I have heard that foreign investment in China has now surpassed that of the U.S. Much of that is american investment. There is too much to lose by any kind of embargo or even worse, a war with china. Where would we get our TV's from?

I think it all depends how Russia responds to that. Would they support the action or not. I think that dictates how the rest of the world will really react as far as action goes.
