Admittedly I haven't been watching the game, but Gary Payton, (at this point) 31 minutes and 2 points? I know its par for the course for him these playoffs, but WTF. how is it possible to play that long and only take 3 shots? Didn't he used to be good?

He never fit in with the Lakers and complained about his role on the team. Throughout the last series and especially this one, he's been benched because of his attitude.

Lakers need to dump their entire team and rebuild and Kobe needs to learn how to keep it in his pants.

I was actually a little disappointed that Tayshaun didn't get any play for MVP. He drove Kobe nuts, passed the ball well, and had timely baskets the first four games; tonight, he was dominant.

He was solid on Shaq. Huge lift off the bench, especially when 'Sheed kept getting in foul trouble.

Hopefully this will finally shut up all the talk about how we should have taken Carmelo Anthony in the draft instead of Darko. No way, NO WAY, he plays that kind of defence on Kobe Bryant. Tayshaun Prince might not be as good a scorer, but he is a better all-around player; we didn't need Carmelo, and we won't need him in the foreseeable future.


You know, everyone talks about how Joe Dumars got Ben Wallace for Grant Hill, and how it turned out to be an incredible steal.

But what they don't mention is that we also got Chucky Atkins out of that trade. And Chucky Atkins was the only player of any significance that we gave up to bring in Rasheed Wallace.

So Joe Dumars gave up Grant Hill, who has played maybe 40 games in the past four years, for Ben Wallace AND Rasheed Wallace.
