I don´t know how American citizens will remember him, but as a Spanish (despite I feel ashamed of being Spanish I´m afraid I still am) I remember him as the one who defeated comunism and uncovered the big lie after the USSR.

By the way, next day 11th of June is Russia Independece Day. Independece from who? From the USSR maybe?
