There was a song here by Black-Eyed Peas (I think) that was number 1 for months but I've no idea what it sounds like.

I've also never seen "The Godfather". Or "Home Alone".

Black Eyed Peas and the song called Shut Up by any chance. That song gets overrated very quickly.

I learned of its existance the first time on Apolyton, I think, when some people were *****ing about how it was extremely overplayed on par with 'Hotel California' and other classics. That was kind of weird to see, because I didn't have a clue and do consider myself above-average enlightened about rock history. I think it was last year I conciously heard it for the first time, listening to an online radio station. I've heard it again since then, but not enough to remember most of the lyrics and melody.

Are you sure you're in the right thread, Sloww?

            You just keep thinking, Imran.

              "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton.

A friend of mine had a "music riddle" in his AIM profile, something like a song name using 1 and 2. He said to me that since I knew music I should get this right away. So with that introduction, I put myself into it. But I had absolutely no idea what it was.

I spent a few weeks turning it over in my brain, and I was totally clueless. Finally he revealed it to some friends and I. My friends who knew of the riddle, but weren't really putting much time into figuring it out, all said "oh yea, of course"

I said, "Wonderful Tonight? Who is that by?"
Everyone looked at me like I had three heads, "Alex, of all people you should know it, its Eric Clapton."

Then I learned it was big at dances in middle school. Considering I never go to dances, I guess that explains it. But now I hear it all the time.

One of his prettiest songs, Mr. 3 Heads.

Anything I've missed out on, I'm unaware of.

But I don't care for pop culture crap anyway. Or most TV.

I have never watched more than two minutes of /Cops/, /America's Most Wanted/, any legal drama, any medical drama, or any reality TV series (with the exception of one episode of /A Simple Life/ that I got shoved down my throat).

                          The entire Britney Spears phenomenon.

I'm serious, there is a total disconnect for me between the girl and her music. I know who she is, and I've probably heard her songs, but I would not be able to draw a line between them for anything.

I should probably add that I watch no more than one hour of TV per month, and I don't have cable.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Name a big film released in the last ten years. Chances are I haven't seen it, or if I have, it's because someone played it on a coach or plane journey.

Same here, but scratch out "someone played it on a coach or plane journey" and write in "my brother dragged me in front of his television and made me watch it".
