If you take it too literally.... but if you take mourning to the extreme, that is terrible too....

      • That's true.

But I wouldn't want to see someone bottle up all thier emotions without actually dealing with them. People can bottle them up now but they will eventually all come out and it usually happens at the worst and unexpected time. I see alot of people "being strong" but then it doesn't work because those buried feelings manifest themselves in other ways that they may not be aware of.

I think the man upstairs gave us all these emotions, even the bad ones, for a reason and we should respect all of them, understand them while they work their way through, instead of trying to chase them away.

Best of thoughts to you and Oerdin.

        • So off to Iraq tonight Oerdin? Hope it is a good flight. Looking forward to the first update of local conditions from 'Poly's "Man on the scene".

          • I just arrived in Baghdad and I'm quite jetlagged. I got bumped twice by United Airlines and I had to change my route so I went to London through San Fransisco instead of Washington DC but everything worked out fine in the end. Damn, it is hot here and I haven't gotten to shower for two days. It's going to take some time to adjust back to this place again.

So, they thought; we got to make a choice for this sorry ass that's risking his life in the line of service and this fat business-man to get the decent fligth. Of cource we'll chose the business-man. The rest of you are just cannon-fodder.

Today's high was 42 degrees C with tomorrow's high 45 degrees C (that's about 113 degrees for the rest of us).

Oh yeah? My United Flight outta SD to Chicago was delayed an hour and 20 minutes. My connector flight was already boarding when we put down. I had to run the two hundred meter dash with a backpack and a C-bag knocking over people on the people mover. ("It's a people mover, not a people stander, damnit!")

Seriously, glad you made it okay.
