Kerry needs to just shut up and let Bush make all the mistakes in speeches.

The catch-22 of modern politics: silence no longer works-if a candidate isn't out 24-7 selling himself then the media starts *****ing about his being aloof and withdrawn and so forth. In the end, the media cares more about how a candidate does with the media, and the worst sin of all is to ignore the media or insult them, cause then the media gets mad.

Yes, the system does not a massive overhaul, beginning with the witless uninvolved public that whines all the time but never gets of their ass and decides to act like citizens and not simply consumers.

this merely makes me even more certain that my philosophy--that people are dumb, greedy, and just plumb don't give a damn--is right.
it's no wonder so many people are depressed.

I don;t think people are dumb. The mob is dumb, individuals can choose. The problem is it is easier to just join the mob.

It's a vicious circle-people think the system is broken and then do nothing, but a great part of why the system is broken is that people do nothing.

Hezbollah supports Hamas and Islamic Jihad with money and knowhow.
It advocates a worldview including such pearls of wisdom as "the Jews are trying to take over the world".
More recently, in fact, it created a television show featuring that very statement and the 'Protocols of Zion': "Horseman without a horse".
Is it too much of a stretch now?
What point are you trying to make? Is Hezbollah terrorist or anti-Jewish? They aren't the same thing you know. In fact, I would say that you just threw in the anti-Jewish stuff to poison the well. The American Nazi Party is clearly anti-Jewish, but they have never committed any terrorist acts, AFAIK.

So, let's take the first two sentences and switch Israel for Hezbollah.

"Israel has shelled a civilian town. Is is this a terrorist act?"

"Israel support[ed] Hamas . . . with money and knowhow."

Both of these statements are true. By your definition, Israel is a terrorist state.

Hezbollah is not a terrorist group. It is a non-state militia that has committed war crimes and attrocities. They don't hide, they don't pretend to be civilians.

                Che.

I'd agree. Hezbolla doesn't quite qualify as a terrorist group. They're still bad guys in my view, but their methods are more conventional (and AFAIK, their goals are local rather than international). They simply fit into a different definition.

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

But so will Bush. We have a race to the bottom with these two to see which is more inept. Nader keeps loking better and better.

No, that's not what I'm saying. Interestingly, for all of the vitriol heaped on Nader, he's still expected to get on the ballot in 43 states and is polling around 6%. Heopfully the Greens will come to their senses and use him as their candidate. The only reason they haven't yes is because the convention isn't until June, which would be too late to get on many state ballots.

Dean was a bad candidate too.
