I saw Aresenal vs. Newcastle when I was in London in 1985, and followed Arsenal more or less ever since.
re: knocked out of cups, given the choice do you think Arsenal would rather focus on
1. winning the Premiership and FA cup
2. winning the Premiership and Champions League
3. winning the premiership and being the first and only team to go thru the entire season undefeated? Is this last realistic at this point? Does it explain their being knocked out of cups?Old posters never die.

No you wouldn't, however I would think that they would probably chose 2). The FA-cup is a prestigious competition but Arsenal have won it a couple of times now. Winning the champions leauge would really mean that Arsenal's on the way of taking over from Man U as being the greatest english team on the continent (applies to the debate in this thread I guess). Not that it matters more for this season though. 3) is nice but it's hardly silverware.Comment
