    [spoiler] blah blah

    in case you didn't know.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

COme on Man Utd. Let's stick 10 past Leicester tonight...

If we do that and beat Portsmouth, just 7 points between us in 2nd and Arsenal.

ah, don't think we can get french telly in any of the pubs round here (might be able to in swansea but not really sure).

i saw the goal on the premiership, vintage henry . thought we were a bit unlucky against newcastle (from what i saw on the highlights) but 4 points from liverpool and newcastle ain't bad going, especially with chelsea slipping up.

liverpool looking a bit dodgy for 4th now though, charlton doing the double over you isn't exactly something you'd have predicted at the start of the season

it's like nobody wants that 4th spot! the money the CL generates would be nice but if I'm honest, unless the kid Cisse is some kind of miracle worker, we'd just get embarrassed playing in it next year.

BTW looking at the last 4 teams in the CL and the last 4 in the UEFA, you'd be hard pressed to say which one was the bigger competition!

well i read earlier in the year (in the sun, but still ) that owen was making noises about moving if the club couldn't secure champions league football. but domestic form doesn't seem always translate into europe it seems (not that i'm bitter ).

                  At least I'm not delusional

You sound like an Everton fan "If you lose your next 4 and we win out next 4 and the game in hand, we'll only be 6 points behind....."

Let it go PA, youre no closer to 18 titles than you were in the summer!

The 'bigger' and better sides are left in the UEFA this year, smart @rse

                    • That's the problem with Liverpool. If they quit resting on past successes, maybe they'd start to care more about the dire state of their team. Even if you finish 4th it's an awful season. Not even making 1.5 points per game

I agree, but PLEASE don't with the '1.5 points a game', it a bit 'American' don't you think?

I DO care about the 'state' of the side but I prefer to support my team, I have my views on GH but while he's still manager of Liverpool then I'll support him.

                        • Owen going to Villa at end of season for CL.. He wouldn't get regular place at the other three teams in it.

If he won't sign I'd rather sell him this summer and get the money than wait 6/12 watching the fee down down every month, where he goes is of no concern really....

Villa have got about as much chance of getting in the CL as ManU have of winning it!

On a slightly different note, was the reason ManU failed to get into the quarter finals of the CL for the first time in 8(?) years anything to do with UEFA bringing the knock out stages forward this year? You'd better hope it never goes back to a straight knockout.....

                              • The second Shankly quote in your signature is just hilarious!

In other 'pools news, Mexes says that he woun't join reds unless they qualify for CL next season. If they don't the'll spend another season with a number of underperforming strikers and about a million defensive midfielders with about as much creativity as my refrigerator.

The reason Manchester United didn't further was because a) they were actually cheated on a vital goal and b) They are not good enough.
