Majerus is out, he's not the coach anymore because of health problems.

Is anyone else laughing at the experts who are all picking a 12th seed upset? Especially Jay Bilas who is picking a weakened by suspension Murray State over Illinois

Many "experts" are saying the same thing.... one of the CBS guys was on the the local radio station this morning saying how he would take Murray State over the Illini even AFTER the suspension news.... The Big 10 is getting NO respect. I hope all three of the teams win some games...

        Murray State has beaten...
        Spoiler:
        Southern Illinois.

That's it, nobody else is even remotely noteworthy. I don't get it. The Big Ten may be down, but that doesn't mean that all the teams in the confrence suck.

I agree... I can TOTALLY understand only three teams being in the field this year... but to then screw them with low seeds as well is just too much. Wisconsin was the 10th ranked team in the country, and then won the big 10 tournament, and got a 6 seed????????

The winning entry has been submitted.

Move along. There is nothing more to see here.

for some reason everytime i try to register it says there is a problem with the registration and to resubmit it. I have filled out all the required fields properly but it just keeps spitting out the same message. I've even tried different names but the same thing keeps happening. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have changed my picks for the final (4) time.

Decided this is the bracket pool I don't care about, went with a few oddities. Which means, of course, that I'm doomed.

A glimpse into our thought processes...

I'm not going to name names at this point, but I decided to take a look at the state of the pool and see what the consensus is. Everyone will be able to see everyone's picks in full once picks close by the end of the morning and the games begin in earnest. But here's some barebones information...
                    • 20 of the 23 people in the pool have submitted brackets so far.
                    • 6 different teams have been chosen as national champions in those 20 brackets.
                    • 4 of those teams have been selected in multiple brackets: Connecticut (the lowest among the multiples with 3), Duke (5), Kentucky (4), and the favorite among the pool to win the tournament, Stanford (6).
                    • The two teams that got one vote each are Gonzaga & North Carolina.

                        Public Display of Ignorance

I picked Duke, Connecticut, OK State, and Ga Tech in the Final Four, with Connecticut over GA Tech for the championship.

I thought Stanford was over rated due to their soft schedule.
Much as I would like them to win, I think St Joes will get beat by somebody with good guards. That could be Wake or OK State.
Kentucky has been hot recently, but had trouble every time they played somebody with a good inside game and guards you cant press. Unfortunately for KY there are three such teams in their barcket: Kansas, Gonzaga, and Ga Tech. I think one of these three will get them.
When Duke lost games late this year it was always for the same reason: inconsistent outside shooting, and an inside game that can't quite make up for it. I think this will eventually catch up with them.
Connecticut is clearly a risk, but the Hartford Courant said yesterday that Okafor's back was "much better" Charlie Villanueva was "fine".

                        Games I'm worried about:
                        Wisconsin vs. Pitt in Wisconsin
Connecticut (who does not play great defense) vs NCState (Princeton style back door)

                        GO TERPS!!
