I'm thinking that it doesnt. the use of skin color as a defining trait seems kinda arbitrary - i mean , why not use the color of eyes as a basis of race?

I think this' entirely a different subject. Correct me if I'm mistaken but isn't breeds (for dogs and cats) are actually sub-species?
If I'm right, 'race' is a different catergory or something like that. We're homo sapiens sapiens while in the past there have been other sub-species. For instance, homo sapiens neandertalensis or Neanderthals as they're commonly known.
What I'm trying to say is that we're all part of the same sub-species or 'breed' so 'race' and 'breed' can't be compared.
Either that or I just made a fool of myself

physical attributes vary greatly across the gamete of the human population, and tend to cluster in areas, which creates a perception of "races" of people.
to deny it's existance is retarded."I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."

all of that is GENERALLY speaking. of course there are exceptions to the rule.
and there are differences between the asian races themselves. i have a friend (who is chinese-american, born here) who can tell if a person is Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, et al, and I bet many asian people can do that too. in fact, i'm getting pretty good at it myself.
you can't get really into it without falling prey to people yelling about sterotypes. well, the truth is those sterotypes exist because people (at one point in time) believed the majority of those people had those traits.
eye colors can vary in region a lor more than skin colors, especially in Europe."I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."
