See, that's innovation and R&D. What Apple does is take techniques developed like this, and introduces them to the marketplace, usually well before they're ready (see: speech recognition passwords). Yeah, right. Apple has had full speech recognition working since OS 9. It works perfectly, even with my strange accent.
I can walk into the room and tell my computer to get my mail and it works just fine. It's a pity that Apple has left room for other companies like IBM to develop dictation software, because I'd like to be able to dictate email by voice. I can already tell the machine to bring up a compose email window and tell it who to send it to.
