The joke is offensive and stereotypical-so I can understand how the TA's and prof got pissed at the absolute moron who writes this sort of thing down in an exam- but the TA was wrong in saying racism is decided by the person who hears a comment.If you don't like reality, change it! me

Give me a ****ing break: stereotypes are built on a common cultural heritage- a given set of assumptions that allow the stereotypes to work, and NO< they do not have to be spelled out for anyone who might not share that one common cultural knowledge.
