The BBC biased? Ah you have made my day - I can go and watch CBS and CNN news on satellite tonight and have a jolly good laugh at their impartial and accurate news reporting on George Dubya the man - and his US foreign policies.
Hey, I never said CBS, CNN etc weren't biased - they are. So is the BBC. I've seen it for myself. They reported as truth a story that was discovered later on to be a complete fabrication (can't remember which one it was now...).
More details on the poll - it included the Kurdish population (solidly pro alliance) which will distort the picture for the US/UK sectors in the south.
Of all the options polled about alliance forces staying in the country 53% of total responses indicated they wanted alliance forces gone (the time frame of withdrawal varied as the polelrs gave several options). That came from BBC TV Breakfast news without any anti US/alliance comment attached - is it made up?
Not necessarily. I don't automatically distrust anything reported by the BBC.

It's been there for ages! You've watched too much TF1!

Presumably they will turn the Bertrand Cantat murder trial into a reality TV show? The audience gets to vote on the verdict? (Yes, I know the trial isn't happening in France!)

Wow! The actuality in Australia must be really quiet for your news networks to speak about this sordid case. As far as I am concerned the noise made about this case is too loud, it is a news item and that's all...

I think you mean the subject of the Hutton enquiry – where a BBC reporter created a report for a late night news discussion program that presented some opinions he had formulated as fact because of a failure of editorial controls.
Interestingly this enquiry ignored the fact that the Government had indeed grossly exaggerated the WMD threat from Iraq and instead concentrated entirely on the BBCs editorial control with regards to that specific report. It was the worst ‘snow job’ I have ever seen giving total benefit of the doubt to the Government and none at all to reporters.
Strangely the findings were met with utter ridicule by the vast majority of the electorate (we have strong affection for Auntie Beeb here) and Lord Hutton is now a bitter man running around moaning to anyone that listens how upset he is at how poorly his report was received and how angry he is of being accused of being a Government suck-up. Well if the cap fits Lord Hutton…
More detail than you wanted there!
So – Scotland to beat France this weekend anyone?
It is better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt

It gets very minor coverage here very occasionally. As you know, I like to know everything about everything.

Here's a bit of detail from this end of the world. The head of the Australian Federal Police opined the other day that Australia's involvement in Iraq would lead to it being a terrorist target. Our Prime Minister, who has constantly assured the country that our involvement in Iraq wouldn't lead to us being a terrorist target, immediately rang up the head of the AFP, insisted he was wrong, and demanded he retract the statement. The head of the AFP, a conservative chap never given to hyperbole, semi-revised his statement. Ah well. What matter the truth when an election is to be fought?

Fair enough. So you prefer Bananarama?
I am more in the Fusion kind of Rock'n'roll, mainly post 70's to the exception of things like Black Sabbath, Grand Funk or AC/DC.
Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, System of a Down, Tool, Incubus, Deftones, Urban Dance Squad, Infectious Groove, Living Colour, Senser or Helmet are more my cup of tea... all poets... though of their own kind I admit it.
