    • AH, it isn't as easy as just 'upping and leaving', what about accommodation and food you know? I just can't rely on the offchance of 'getting a job' just like that - it has never worked in the past. It's all so fatiguing. I just want a half decent job...why is this proving so elusive?

Yeah, but are you aware of how hard it is to emigrate to your country with all the green card system, and the expense of doing so...

                  • Like I'm not already - I got a job rejection last week but you don't see me creating threads about it. Suck it up and move on.

                    • As you've probably noticed, it is more complicated than just plain old job rejections. It is about having the rug swept from beneath your feet.

                      • PH, although PA is being an insensitive Cheney as usual I think he has a bit of a point. Seems like you are still a bit depressed and this is making things look ****ter than they are.

                        • I just don't see anything other, no matter how I try to look. It still feels like the walls are closing in around me. No matter what I apply for they will always take on another person, even if I am the more experienced or confident, which happened last time. And even if I get the job, that bad experience with Novartis has left me very nervous about the whole thing.

One of the classic symptoms of depression is whenever someone comes up with any solution the depressed person can always tell you why it won't work.

Are you doing any exercise? Nothing like a long walk or jog or bike ride to break you out of your funk.

                              • It's not always that easy but I agree that it is a classic symptom. All bad things are amplified and all good things dismissed.
