Germany 1942 would have problems against Iraq 2003.

And team "Germany 1943" would win the team of "Germany 1942".

How about this one: The year is 1939. Transfer the German army to Canada. Hitler decides to invade the US. Who wins?
        What?

What I can't bear is the rumour that French women don't shave!

GERMAN women don't shave for chrissakes, not French ones!

If your soldiers ****ing in Ramstein can't even figure out the nationality of their weekly whores, the problem is on them, not on us !1!!!1! :ma:d

                    @ spiffor

France's military may be better, but as Spiffor pointed out in another thread, it was better in WW2 as well. It was just in the wrong place.

He would do better trying to go after the Soviets, the American civilian population is a lot more armed than the average European civilian pop.

Are you somehow saying 1939 Dakotas, Monatana, Upstate New York, Minnesota, et al is somehow not a signifiagntly more armed population than Germany would face otherwise?

Quite frankly. I hope that this year will see less French bashing than usual. Because, quite frankly, it is quite pathetic. In fact it is very sickening. Now if only there was some kind of truth to it. But there is not. Everyone knows that the French are one of the most cultured, well educated and most friendly people on earth. Of course the there is the history of France, especially the military history, which strangely people still think is the foundation of a nation's greatness. It just strikes me as perverted that people will not think that enough sacrifice has not been brought to bear in the First World War. After all the main function of war is to unite the nation. There is in short no reason in fighting further wars when the nation is united, unless, of course those wars will help you pay for the bill for past wars.

The main problem is, I guess, with the Anglo-Saxon psyche which is greatly predisposed to militarism, which is why they have always regarded the Germans in a high regard. the next problem is that France has not followd the usual doctrine that nationalism is a current luxury only enjoyed by the socalled 'strong'. This is of course madening to the people who decide the discourse, because of course the 'strong' would very much like that everybody dance along to their tune.

However what is the worst thing about this whole anti-French feeling being purported by the weakminded is that it is mainly directed at the lower segments of society. The rich, of course still ferociously consume the quality wine, food, clothing, and litterature made in France. As such the rich seek to instill a nationalism based on negativity while, they themselves find no reason to submit themselves to such low behavior. Of course this makes sense because it is of course madening for the poor that the rich should enjoy everything that is good in life, while they themselves are relegated to fast food and hip hop culture. Thus the poor feel empowered by this negativity directed against a nation, which, as far as I am concerned, is only guilty of placating the tastes of the rich bougousie across Europe and America, and the the elites of the third world. How pathetic and hypocritical indeed.
