Movie-subtitles poll

Nah, German dubbing sucks, as well. I've heard it. It's quite funny when you don't understand what are they talking about.

Usually I hate German dubbing, but in a few cases they're good... I prefer watching Bud Spencer and Jackie Chan movies (The Hong Kong movies) in German...

Some times it's "funny" to view certain movies dubbed in German... There's one german 'dubber' who makes the voice acting for both Woopy Goldberg and Rosanne (The one with the TV-show with her own name) IIRC... now why don't they make a movie with both those actors in... how would the German's dubb this

I want subtitles, of course (how would I understand it otherwise?), but if it's in French (which I've been taking in school for a few years) I would have them in either English or French.

This is why the poll is only about those movies where you understand what they're talking about... there's no way I could find the Taxi (French) movies funny, if it wasn't because of the subtitles

I'd rather have subtitles than dubbed audio... I like hearing the actor's real voices and their emotion.

Subtitles in the language spoken on screen can be useful when learning a languague. French international cable channel TV5 subtitles its french-language films in french, and it was really helpful when I learned the language at school.

The last time I used subtitles was for "Snatch." Stupid Brad Pitt.
