Or a Google search for the word 'Korvatunturi'

    Oh, BTW:
    Wanha!1
    It's not wanha, it's traditional.

The efforts of American advertisers are, of course, to be discounted

Besides, there is a time every year when Santa's at the North Pole. I mean, he's got to give gifts to the polar researchers, doesn't he? However, like all gift-givings, it's a quick visit, and he then returns to the home base at Finnish Lapland. And because every other sentence's ended with my floppy-**** smiley, let's have one more for a good measure:
"Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency
"That’s the future of the Democratic Party: providing Republicans with a number of cute (but not that bright) comfort women." - Adam Yoshida, Canada's gift to the world

I can understand why you'd want Santa to be Finnish; I mean your country has nothing else to live for. But you are just defaming the man. He is obviously at the North Pole. He has taste, after all.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
      - John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

        Imran,

At least we have Santa as a reason to live for... what do you have? NOTHING! HAHAHAHA!
I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

I live in the US. We have oil to live for, of course.

you're all obviously mistaken. His name is Ded Moroz, he lives in Russia, and he brings presents in the new calendar year, not the FAKE birthday of some dead jewish dude.

Santa Claus may be in Finland, but I don't think anyone would consider the fact that he's chained to a radiator there means he "lives" there.

                          Santa lives in Norway.

Finland used to fly in kids from England (Concorde) to their "Disney" Santa Park in Finland. The Finns must have hired an American salesperson...

I have always heard that Santa was from Norway. You can walk from Norway (Svalbard) to the Northpole.
