  • Again, we'll see how Lewis does in years 4-17 in his career. Until then, there's nothing to discuss.

Well, he'll probably break Walker's rushing mark. He's almost halfway there.

      • Btw, isn't NFL.com possibly the worst of the major sports sites for historical stats.

I said he'll break Walker's rushing mark. That means in 4-17 he'll gain the yardage to do so. He's at 4,500+ in 4 years (actually 3, because he didn't play at all in his 2nd year).

          • Well, if you don't want to compare like to like, there's no need to debate the issue. Shiite, if we're gonna do so, let's throw in Mr. Walkers USFL records as well, including 5,000 yards rushing in three seasons, etc.

            • Since when do Walker's USFL rushing yards count in NFL records? I said he'll break Walker's rushing mark and he will. Like to like would mean you'd have to take some of those yards away from the USFL (kinda like the formula they use to show what Japanese players would do in the majors). Lewis, right now in his career, is a better player than Walker.

Remember, Lewis probably hasn't hit his peak either.

Imran, are you just trying to troll me? Or are you this obtuse? I'm betting on the former, but what the hell - I'll give it one more shot before bed: If Lewis can gain 15,000 all-purpose yards in the NFL during the same stage of his career that Walker did, hats off to him.

Seeing Lewis is a better running back, he'll probably get it .

                        • An announcer on ESPN said the Redskins started 6-0 and missed the playoffs, several years back. That's the only other time it's happened.

                          Here's a trivia question for y'all --

What do the league's worst teams -- Oakland, San Diego, NY Giants, and Arizona -- have in common (other than their 4-12 records)?

                              • The only playoff team I'm concerned about Philly playing is GB. GB is riding high on a revitalized Favre and the cold weather away game at Philly will mean nothing to them. It is likely that they will face GB in two weeks because GB and Carolina should emerge from the first round. I'm not as concerned about facing the winner of Carolina / St Louis in the finals as I am in getting past GB game....

Are the Eagles America's team now?
