  • The fishing thread

Any keen anglers out there in Polyland?

Where do you fish? What do you catch? Do you practice catch and release? Any photos?

I'm mainly a freshwater angler these days, chasing the mighty brown trout in the mountains and lakes hereabout.

I thought it was the "finishing thread". The thread to end all threads :hmm:

I thought that as well. I really didn't expect to see a fishing thread here with all these poly geeks . I mean that in a good way of course.

I don't fish by myself. But if I have buddies that ask me to go fishing with them, I never turn them down. I don't have my own equipment though, and have to borrow theirs.

Last time I went fishing was in Mississippi. It's been a while. The guys I know in Las Vegas don't do any fishing. Not that we have any good fishing. Sure there are fish in Lake Mead- but I wouldn't eat them . There are many dead bodies in that lake.

On the navy base we used to have fishing contests. I won a a fish filleting knife for our team finishing second place. Then we would fry up the fish. This was in the gulf of course. So they were salt water fish. I have fished in rivers as well.

It's not a pleasant feeling, but I would never reveal that in front of other guys.

That's the great thing about peer pressure. I have no problem doing disgusting things if other guys are doing it.
