Ehh, but humans ARE rational creatures. In fact, our rationality, our ability to reason and use logic, is one of the only thing that seperates us from the rest of the animal kingdom.'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

Its all about balance. In terms of solving problems, you can't beat logic. In terms of a world view, you need logic, rationality as the tools to your own personal disposition for which love and emotion are probably major contributors. That is the human condition which requires love. Philosophy can get by with mere logic and reason, though I believe that reaches a stage where it necessitates emotion too, which is my main area of interest."I work in IT so I'd be buggered without a computer" - Words of wisdom from Provost Harrison
