Bad troll
"Almost 60 percent of Europeans say that Israel is a larger threat to world peace than North Korea, Iran or Afghanistan"
Actually, 59 % said Israel is a threat to world peace, more than those who said it about NK etc. As the question was reported, it was not possible to rank countries, and you could name more than one country: "Tell me if in your opinion it presents or not a threat to peace in the world." What you can derive from that is that Israel is seen as more dangerous overall threat, with which I would not agree.
Of course the initial line will make it to the US media in another round of the "evil europe"-game that seems to sell so well besides the "stupid europe", "coward europe" and "weak europe".“Now we declare… that the law-making power or the first and real effective source of law is the people or the body of citizens or the prevailing part of the people according to its election or its will expressed in general convention by vote, commanding or deciding that something be done or omitted in regard to human civil acts under penalty or temporal punishment….” (Marsilius of Padua, „Defensor Pacis“, AD 1324)

if we are talking countries, then the U.S. should be ahead of Israel. Because the U.S. have more influence, a much stronger military, and a crazier leader than Israel has. And because of that, when they make mistakes- they tend to be bigger mistakes.
I demand the U.S. be regarded as the biggest threat to world peace!

I'm also surprised the US didn't make the nr 1 spot.“Now we declare… that the law-making power or the first and real effective source of law is the people or the body of citizens or the prevailing part of the people according to its election or its will expressed in general convention by vote, commanding or deciding that something be done or omitted in regard to human civil acts under penalty or temporal punishment….” (Marsilius of Padua, „Defensor Pacis“, AD 1324)

Not really.
I think what they were trying to say is "Is Israel a threat to world stability" and on that count, it is a resounding YES. Israel and it's socially backwards policies are definitely threats to world stability, which is why the Israeli state needs to be dismanteled.
Possibly reintegrated somewhere else.

Wow, I didn't know that our social policies ( which are more advanced that both the US of A, and the ****hole that is currently mother Russia ), have so much impact on world opinion.
I guess the government should give in to the ongoing strike. I wonder what alternatives can we find to balance the budget of the country, except than restructuring and private services. I say tax the rich. Amir Peretz is a slimeball, though.

The worst threat to world peace is the couple US-Iran or the couple US-North Korea. We basically have a hyperpower that wants to have his rules respected, and we have rebellious players who want to make their own rules. There would be no threat to world peace if both parties weren't included.
And Israel is clearly a BIG reasons for the tensions between the West and the Arab-Muslim world. But to say it is a thread to world peace by itself is uninformed. Israel is a threat to regional peace. Other actors are a threat to world peace, even though Israel can stir the **** they'll fight upon."I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident
"I never had the need to have a boner." -- Dissident
"I have never cut off my penis when I was upset over a girl." -- Dis

Or, let's say "World Peace" is the Mac forum, and the US is Ming. Israel would have the role of Asher"I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident

As much, as, say, France. a little bit, Indirectly, etc. etc.
Israel is a touch more dangerous, especially under a government that loves the conflict.“Now we declare… that the law-making power or the first and real effective source of law is the people or the body of citizens or the prevailing part of the people according to its election or its will expressed in general convention by vote, commanding or deciding that something be done or omitted in regard to human civil acts under penalty or temporal punishment….” (Marsilius of Padua, „Defensor Pacis“, AD 1324)

What an interesting metaphore.

Since most of the arab world is actually mad that we even exist, I think that what's the problem is arab macho culture making them "all or nothing at all" all the goddamn time. OMG you didn't have it your way one time!
