I use Kazaa occasionally. No 30 gig mp3 collection though.

I use eMule for large files, KazaaLite for smaller ones.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

            I resent that remark

i stopped stealing music a long time ago. even when i was using napster and kazaa, i usually stuck to either bootleg live tracks (copyright laws are slightly different in that instance), or stuff i legitimately owned to begin with, just too lazy to rip from the cd.
I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.

I would also like to go on record as saying I'm generally not stealing music when using p2p. Not due to morals - but due to the fact that there is precious little decent music being released.

No one mentions Hotlines? It can't be that rare!

But it was one of the first true file sharing programs out there, first for Mac, then came out later for PC. Was a great program and still is very big today.

musicians work hard for their money, and the recording contracts don't generally allow much for the artists. it's expected that they'll make up in merchandise and concert sales, but the record company is the only thing that makes money from record sales. even so... it's about supporting the groups you like, and keeing the riff-raff out.

Not true. There are tons of members who are not located in the US and so who are not subject to US laws. These people will offer plenty of content.
