I think there are still substantial fresh water aquifers near the major population centers. It will give us time to sort things out.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I don't think drinking water is endagered, but fresh water to draw on is. It will require greater amounts of processing...

Speaking of which I am sure there are some very expensive catalysts and chromatography resins out there that cost more than $1000 per gram. I remember a 1 liter bottle of one that cost over a million dollars!!

I was under the impression that Californium is the most expensive ELEMENT, going a couple of million per gram. Since Bacteriophages aren't "substance" I don't think they count.

Coke is typically bought in 1/8 of ounce quantity known as an 8-ball and normal prices vary from $80us to $300us depending on quality and greed and point of purchase(bar costs more and has less potency). In larger quantities it can be much more pure meaning it needs to be cut with another substance to lower potency and make the final sellers more cash. A normal ounce is about $700us, when you get into kilo amounts it's a different ball game with huge price flucuations and greater risk in both quality and legal implications, but an average price would be $12-14,000us. Compared to legit business pricing coke is a HUGE profit margin product, but in no way close the the most valuable substance
I like saffron, but it is way to expensive, but I think the bull sperm would be most expensive. I am from Wisconsin and I remember some dairy expos with hundreds of thousands of dollars exchanged for the small vial of bull spoge I wonder how much the people get paid to extract that from the 600lb angry bull?????

Not that much, as I understand. There is an automated bull spooge collector that the bulls enjoy apparently.

Like I said, 25 years to sort out.
But people won't take seriously until what? 5 years remain? 1?

Are y'all sure that saffron is very expensive? You can buy online for about $3/g.

I think the stuff from Spain is the rarest and most desired. Last time I bought it I made a huge batch of paella and it cost me $20 for the small amount I used, was tasty as hell though.

Good to see your still around Self B. Your band still going?

So my question is if the bulls get the machine how come when we go to a sperm bank we gotta use our hand? Hell if we had machines and they were enjoyable I may not need a wife anymore

Does anyone know the price of black widow anti-venom? I know its quite pricey too.

Unless something is done, the earth will run out of fresh water in about 25 years.

like all those "predictions" that oil will run out in 25 years. Since that's been proven wrong, they switched to water so they can create more chaos and confusion.

I read somewhere that tritium was the most expensive substance, but that information might have been wrong or could very well be outdated now
