But you are using a certain word that has hatred behind it. You should try to make the word go away, rather than making it seem 'ok' to some people. So in some little way, it may be within your control.

I do think that '******' wouldn't enjoy the same 'popularity' among non-blacks if it wasn't for rap music. We should end ALL slurs, not try to turn around some.

And a few of my straight friends call me ****** sometimes, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I know they're totally okay with it, and I know they like me, it's just a thing we do. I call them breeder, they love me.

Just because one group are idiots doesn't mean the others aren't as well. The people that use it with bad intent are idiots, but so are the people that use it with 'good' intent and then not realize that this makes people think it may be ok for them to use in normal parlance.

Plenty of whites use the term 'my ******' because it is said so much in rap music. It isn't considered a horrible word that should be avoided because blacks themselves use it so much! I've heard whites who wear hip hop clothes, etc., call their friends 'my ******'. Why? Because they think it is ok because blacks do so in rap music. Of course there will be a more than few blacks that take offense to whites using the term.

Though the funniest is when these white hip hoppers call their white friends 'my nigga' .
